Designed with care
From cold and sterile to warm and friendly, Morningside Hospital’s new interiors have not only transformed the space but impacted positively on staff and patient wellbeing. Modern, stylish and minimalistic, the design creates a calming, reassuring ambience. A mix of wooden flooring and white tiles break up the space, adding inviting areas and waiting zones. To create further synergy, wood is incorporated into the furnishings and pattern cut feature walls.

Lighting plays an important role, with warm rich lighting used in the waiting and meeting areas and bright lighting prevalent where necessary.

White remains the dominant colour throughout, with shades of green adorning the walls, furniture and bedding. This continues the natural theme, while maintaining a crisp, clean look and feel. A primary colour palette of red, blue, yellow, orange and purple add pops of colour throughout the hospital, from the reception to the wards and waiting areas. The staff room has been brightened up and is equipped with a practical and easy to clean kitchen, as well as modern furniture in white and lime green. The staff bathrooms continue this colour scheme with modular door-free cupboards to store shoes and uniforms.
