START DATE: 8th of January 2020


Key Responsibilities to include:
  • The person will be appointed on a contract Specific to the City centre project for Steyn City run from our joint venture SCAD office, for the current construction contract specific to portions 1 -14 of the project
  • To produce construction documents in line with the Architect’s brief
  • Produce working drawings in REVIT, co-ordinated with other disciplines
  • Attend site meetings
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction on behalf of Architect
Secondary Responsibilities to include:
  • Project Management and Administration
Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants:
  • National Diploma in Architectural Technology or a BAS degree
  • Registered with SACAP with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Proficient in use of Revit
  • A high standard of communication
  • A commitment to providing excellent client service through efficiency and the quality in production of work
  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment
  • Sufficiently experienced to resolve problems and to make decisions when required
  • Plans and organises workflow to ensure commitments and deadlines are met
  • Builds working relationships
  • Is reliable and willingly accepts the responsibilities that go with the job

  • Produce both Interior Design and Architectural working drawings and specifications
  • Construction and site meetings.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction on behalf of both Interior Design and Architectural practices
Secondary Responsibilities to include:
  • Project Management and Administration
Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants:
  • Masters of Architecture (M.Arch)
  • Bachelors of Interior Design
  • Proficient in use of Sketch Up and Revit
  • Both Interior Design and Architectural work experience is essential.
  • A high standard of communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment.
  • Sufficiently experienced to resolve problems and to make decisions when required.
  • Plans and organises workflow to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.

  • Produce working drawings, co-ordinated with other disciplines
  • Knowledge and experience in residential architecture (low – high density)
  • To assist with graphic design work for presentation purposes
  • To assist with 3D visualisation of project proposals
  • Attend client and planning meetings
Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants:
  • Master of Architecture (M.Arch)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Proficient in use of Revit
  • Experience in urban scale residential and masterplanning development
  • High level of hand sketch ability (must be able to translate sketch plans into 3D sketch illustrations for presentation proposal purposes)
  • To complete and pass B+P Revit Assessment
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Adobe Master Suite for graphic design purposes
  • Intermediate knowledge of 3D visualisation software for presentation purposes
  • A high standard of communication (both verbal and digital)
  • A commitment to providing excellent client service through efficiency and the quality in production of work
  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment
  • Sufficiently experienced to resolve problems and to make decisions when required
  • Plans and organises workflow to ensure commitments and deadlines are met
  • Good verbal presentation skills
  • Build working relationships

  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction on behalf of Architect
Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants
  • Master of Architecture (M.Arch)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Advanced in use of Revit (certification of such preferable)
  • Complete B+P Revit Assessment with minimum 80% score
  • Sketches to be done in Revit and by hand
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Adobe Master Suite for graphic design purposes
  • Intermediate knowledge of 3D visualisation software for presentation purposes
  • Intermediate knowledge and history of council documentation and submission process

To be considered, the successful candidate will have:
  • a Graphic Design degree
  • Photography degree
  • extensive exposure to the professional graphic design environment with proven experience working as a graphic designer ( 3-5 years )
  • a strong portfolio that displays strong brand story-telling capacity. This may be in the form of movies, photo essays or well laid out editorial with attention to typgography
  • as part of the above a keen eye for well curated visual imagery and photography is a must.
  • an understanding of architecture and design concepts
  • a proven record of proactive creative delivery
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofing, spelling and grammar with an incredible eye for detail
  • excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships and to work alongside clients to deliver innovative design solutions.
  • good communication skills, be approachable, and work within group or executive decision making frameworks
  • experience and the ability to lead on projects from start to finish, to use initiative and to work autonomously
  • strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines
  • expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign. Experience with HTML and motion graphics is desirable.

  • realise and execute graphical content in line with creative strategy
  • prepare bid documents and client presentations
  • prepare press releases for project promotion
  • organise and curate finished project photos
  • manage the practice project portfolio ready for future bids
  • create layouts for award submissions, concept proposals, bids
  • work with the architectural and interior teams to present project design work ready for client presentations
  • Render architectural drawings for external communication and presentations
