The interior design proposal for Intercare’s head office was focused on creating a workspace that was not only functional but also visually appealing, aiming to enhance both productivity and employee satisfaction. The client expressed a desire to transition from the traditional cellular office model, characterized by enclosed and segregated workspaces, to a more modern open-plan layout. This shift was intended to foster a sense of openness, encourage collaboration, and support a more dynamic work environment.

The open-plan design brought specific challenges, particularly regarding noise management and privacy. To address these, the design incorporated strategic acoustic solutions to reduce sound levels and prevent distractions, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for focused work. Additionally, designated breakaway areas were integrated into the layout, providing spaces where employees could retreat for private conversations, meetings, or quiet reflection. This thoughtful approach balanced the need for openness with the necessity of maintaining functional, private spaces within the office.

To enhance the overall workplace experience, the design seamlessly integrated elements of the corporate identity into various aspects of the office, such as custom joinery and the selection of wall, floor, and ceiling finishes.
