UBUNIFU 2026 is here!
The second edition of the Ubunifu Student Programme is officially launching, and weโre inviting third- and fifth-year architecture students from participating universities across Kenya to apply.
Hosted through our Nairobi studio, this 10-week mentorship programme offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, strengthen design and presentation skills and engage with architecture through research, narrative and exhibition-making.

Who decides what is seen?
Kenyaโs museums and cultural institutions hold extensive collections of carefully preserved material histories, yet much of this remains outside public consciousness. This yearโs programme challenges participants to explore the tension between what exists, what is visible and what remains unseen.
Using archival materials and museum collections as a point of departure, participants will develop exhibition-driven architectural responses that bridge the gap between the museum and the public. Through temporary interventions, students will investigate storytelling, interpretation and perception, opening space for future discourse.
The programme includes:
โข Museum visits
โข Narrative and storytelling workshops
โข Architectural and conceptual presentation skills
โข Material research
โข New programme tools
โข Final exhibition
