WAICA Reinsurance Corporation’s West Africa Regional Office commences construction in Accra, Ghana

The sod has been cut for the construction of WAICA Reinsurance Corporations West Africa regional office for Africa to begin in Accra, Ghana. The building, which is budgeted to cost US$ 40 million, is expected to be completed in 18 months; by which time it will rank as the newest and one of the most striking edifices to grace Accra’s rapidly rising skyline. It is located in the Airport Residential Area, one of the most prestigious business districts in the country’s capital city.

Upon its completion, the WAICA Re regional office will stand as a testament to architectural innovation and modernity, complementing the dynamic growth of Accra’s urban landscape.

The design concept of WAICA Re’s building skin draws inspiration from the vibrancy of African culture, including colours, iconography, fabrics, patterns, fauna, and flora. The building is enveloped in a striking and purposeful facade, which serves as both a decorative element and a functional screen. This screen wraps around the building, providing ventilation for above-ground parking while revealing a welcoming and public entrance.

The location of the new regional office in the Airport Residential Area strategically positions WAICA Reinsurance Corporation at the heart of Accra’s commercial activity, facilitating accessibility and engagement with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
